An Iowa lease termination letter (30-day notice) is a legal document that a landlord can use to end a month-to-month tenancy without cause. The form gives the tenant 30 days to vacate the rental property.
Failure to comply with the notice can result in the landlord serving a 3-Day Notice to Quit, which orders the tenant to leave within three days or face eviction proceedings. It is important to comply with Iowa State Law, which requires a landlord to provide 30 days’ notice to the tenant before the termination of the lease agreement.
Governing Law: I.C.A. § 562A.34
Required Notice Period: 30 Days.
